Just Dreaming...

I dream often and I dream in colour. I think about dreams a lot. The scary ones, the beautiful ones, the improbable ones, the ones where I am a polar bear....But most of all the ones that start with a little smiling thought deep inside someone that grow in grace into something unimaginable. These are the God breathed dreams. I want to hear your dreams (broken or fulfilled), and I want to share some of mine with you. So here they are. "I'll be the Dreamer of your dreams"

Romans 1:16

So anyways, I was talking to a 14 year old boy the other day. He is super cool and one of the smartest people I know. He likes basketball and girls and music. He loves God too. He told me that he figured out why he finds it so hard to tell his friends about how he believes in God. He said its because it makes him sound like he has class 2 schizophrenia. I laughed at first, but I think my friend is right. I have learned the symptoms of schizohrenia and Christians have most of them. :)
So here is my dilemma. And it seems a really silly one. I value intelligence above most things in life. I guess not necessarily intelligence, but more the desire to learn and work to gain knowledge and figure things out. I really have trouble getting a long with people who just simply don't care to learn more. And I want people to see me as intelligent. And so I find it hard to tell people I believe that there is something bigger than us humans, that there is more to people than our organs. I guess I don't find it hard to tell everyone. Just some people. When my little cousins ask me about God we have great conversations. I don't feel pressured to sound scientific with them. When the teenagers I worked with had problems, many of our discussions would turn spiritual.
I believe. I just really believe that there is a God. Even when the world is a huge chaotic mess, I still believe. And so maybe I should risk sounding unscientific more often.
