Fruit of the Spirit
I have not yet blogged about junior youth councils. It is honestly my passion. Thinking up creative ways to talk to kids about God, and speaking to them. I love sharing with them and listening to them. Even more then in a school setting. There is less pressure to get things done at youth councils. A little easier to rely on God too, I think.
Anyways, this year junior youth councils was in Terrace and the theme was "Fruit of the spirit". It was incredible. I wish I could describe it all here, but I will share some highlights. We had some amazing kids there. We played a game where we had very strange fruit, ever hear of Kiawana? The kids guessed the names. We did a taste test. They were the simplest games, but the kids were so enthusiastic. It was incredible.
At the last session we were talking about the cross. One kid raised his hand and asked "Is the cross a trap?". At Easter (weeks before) Curtis had preached at this kids village about the cross being a trap. So incredible that this kid remembered this.
We played outside games and watched "Happy Feet". Happyrock, Kat and Sammy Joe helped me dance. Maria, Petey and Damian were there. It was so awesome. The dancing was incredible. I am sleepy, so here are some pictures.
